the city, north beach, castro district, unfortunately there's no great area traffic-wise this weekend. so this is going to be one of the busier spots. we are here along pier 30-32. it's dark but we have a big navy vessel you can tour for fleet week and in addition, if that wasn't enough, we have the america's cup sailing yachts behind me here, as well. so if yesterday was any indication, it's going to be very busy and loud this saturday and sunday. the blue angels practiced yesterday. don't drive. parking even if you get here will be extra difficult. to avoid gridlock, avoid the waterfront, use less popular bridges like the san mateo bridge. if fleet week and america's cup weren't enough, a few other things are going on. it's all over the city. hardly strictly bluegrass in golden gate park. 49ers at candlestick. castro street fair, florence and the machine in mountain view, madonna in san jose, justin bieber in oakland. so it's making me exhausted just saying everything and that's not all. use mass transit. bart ferries muni are all ramping up service. if earlier this week was any indicat

this morning for this commute leading into foster city. the golden gate bridge on friday we typically see a little more traffic in the northbound direction and that is the case today. southbound to cut commute there are no delays. let's take a look around the bay still holding about 21 minutes from hercules to berkeley. a little slower and to walk up the creek coming to pleasant hill. was found 581 of the better days so far even with the slowing coming into livermore the drive time is about 26 minutes. south bay freeway this loess is at the 1 01 northbound it is about a 23 to 24 minute drive out of coyote valley into santa clara. highway 4 and highway 92 look good. the north bay ride is starting to show some slowing at the 101 southbound but the drive times are still under 33 minutes. >> authorities say a gunman killed four people inside a metal let minneapolis signed making business before turning the weapon on himself. this happened yesterday afternoon for other people were wounded one critically and the one killed was the owner of the sign business. no details on the gunman just yet ac

is on you're looking at ocean beach, temperatures climbed into the 80s, some cities including santa rosa are seeing triple digit temperatures now there is the hottest day of the year in san francisco so far. and we're live in oakland there is also a lot like summer out there. >> this is hotter, now, the east bay had highest temperatures in antioch and livermore as expected were hottest places. i know because we're there this morning and this afternoon. and there is today, october 1. fall should be inching here but instead, everywhere you went looks and felt very much like a hot summer day. that is the lake in oakland that had a fair amount of people at the beach cooling off today. it was hot in mid-80s but not as hot as it was in walnut creek. we found people dressed for weather and enjoying picnics during lunch hour, antioch very hot z we had no trouble finding people deciding to launch boats one more time or enjoy water sports on the delta. this is where people wanted to be outside, enjoying heat. >> it's way better than typical october 1. >> we're enjoying it. we're going to do someth
